Suddenly I remembered I hadn't blogged in a while and when I saw that my last post was October 29th and it is now November 20...I realized November has gone insanely fast. It's been a really good month so far.
Last Friday we had the day off so I went home Friday after getting my grading and hair done in North Platte. It's amazing how motivated I can be when I'm going home or have something planned where I don't want grading to be in the back of my mind. I had supper with my parents and then watched the game with them and my grandma on Saturday morning. Sunday I woke up with a ton of energy- most likely because all my grading was done. This past week was an amazing week at school. Something happened, not sure what, but I was energized, happy, perky, and excited. I believe that's reason enough to have every Friday off ;)
This Friday I did some grading at the school and then did some shopping. Saturday I watched the Husker vs. Michigan game and deep cleaned my apartment...so if you're coming to visit, soon would be great ;) Around 5 my cousin Kellie, her husband Chan and daughter Taylor came to visit. They stayed for about an hour and I gave Taylor (6 weeks old) her bottle. So cute and has changed so much since I saw here just over two weeks ago. I graded a few more papers and then went for a drive. Obviously lots more has happened in the past 3 weeks, but I won't go into details.
Today I got busy and started cooking. I have started using pinterest.com and I highly recommend it for anyone. I have been "pinning" several recipes and I decided to make two of them today. One was a bbq and red pepper chicken in the crockpot (sweet and spicey) and the other was snickerdoodle muffins. YUM- Hopefully these good recipes will keep me satisfied until Thanksgiving on Thursday. I'm looking forward to going home and seeing family and just relaxing (hopefully). That means that I should look ahead for the week after thanksgiving so that those plans are ready to go when we get back. Man, then it's almost Christmas and first semester will be over. The speed of time is unreal. As always, looking forward to decorating for Christmas while listening to Tonic Sol Fa's Holiday CD's. Happy Thanksgiving everyone :)
